The 2008 Coyote Rally - Event Report

In 2008 98 teams registered in Calais on 4th April. The drive to Paris could not have been better, sunshine all the way and not a cloud in the sky. We all met at a bar in Paris where the award for best theme was given to Team 70, Mystery Inc. After a heavy night, there were a few sore heads in the morning when we all met just outside Paris.

The drive to Munich was troubled by heavy traffic and roadworks, which made the drive extremely challenging.

Most of the teams made it to that nights meeting point in Munich, many people headed to the Irish bar next door for another heavy night.

After seeing the Porsche 911 owners club in the morning the bangers made their way into the meeting point, followed swiftly by 2 teams getting naked.

The drive into Prague was sort and sunny, everyone then met the challenge of Pragues one way cobbled streets. Many teams decided to spend the night catching up on their sleep, others attended another Irish Bar. While the guys with the Pink Hearse managed to lose their car, somehow.

In the morning the weather wasn’t as good as it had been, beautiful sunshine to snow blizzards through the Czech mountains and into Germany once again. This then cleared up once we were into the Netherlands.

That night proved to be a night to remember if they can remember it at all, a great turn out at the nightclub.

2008 was an extremely successful year for the Coyote Rally and we will endeavour to ensure that 2009 is even better and more enjoyable.
